Product description
Fitzwilliam Whisky is produced by The Great Northern Distillery in Dundlak, County Louth, and distributed by French company BBC Spirits.
The distillery's main shareholder is John Teeling. In 2013, the Teeling family purchased the Great Northern brewery and after two years of adaptation work, in August 2015, distillation began. The plant is equipped with stills and distillation columns and produces single malt, single pot still and single grain whiskey. The total capacity is around 12 million liters of distillate per year, making it the second largest Irish distillery. Great Northern is mainly involved in contract distilling for contractors in Poland and abroad. The single malt whiskey presented here, triple distilled from malted barley with peat, was aged in barrels of white American oak and bottled without cold filtration.
