Product description
Apart from the young Kilchoman Distillery, the distilleries on Islay are built right on the coastline.
The rule also applies to Bowmore, whose warehouse is partly below sea level, and the low temperatures and constant humidity there have a huge impact on the whisky palette. For over a quarter of a century, Bowmore 21 years has been part of the core range and has won a number of medals and accolades, including a gold medal at the 1992 International Wine & Spirit Competition . It was withdrawn from sale at the beginning of the new century and remains increasingly difficult to find.
