Product description
Bladnoch, based in Wigtown, is Scotland's most southerly malt distillery.
It has been producing whisky since 1817, with frequent changes of ownership, most recently in 2015, when Australian businessman David Prior became its lucky buyer. After less than two years of renovation, the plant, equipped with two pairs of stills, resumed production in May 2017; a new, attractive and beautifully packaged offer soon followed. Bladnoch Alinta is the company's latest offering (spring 2022). The whisky is distilled from malted barley with peat and aged in first-fill bourbon and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The word "Alinta" comes from the language of the tribes of southeastern Australia and means "flame".

Finish : medium long, with notes of peat smoke, vanilla, honey, apples, a touch of ginger and cinnamon.
