Product description
Old Hickory Distillery was founded in 1868 in Kentucky by John Robb.
In 1896, the plant moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where it produced whiskey until 1910, when Prohibition was introduced in the state. After the repeal of the law, the brand was included in the Continental Distilling Corporation portfolio, but disappeared from the market shortly after the end of the war. It did not return to the market until 2011, this time as an offering from RS Lipman, based in Nashville, Tennessee. The current Old Hickory bourbon is distilled at MGP Indiana and aged for at least four years. According to the company, the blend includes distillates as old as 7 years. Old Hickory is a nod to former president (and Tennessee distiller) Andrew Jackson. His photograph adorns the label.
