Product description
When John Teeling and sons sold Cooley Distillery to Jim Beam Global in 2011, they had no intention of ending whiskey production.
The contract amounted to $95 million, the Teelings owned about 30% of the shares and the family probably enriched itself by about $16.5 million. The Teeling Whiskey Company was registered almost immediately and started bottling and distributing Teeling Whiskey; construction of the Teeling Distillery in Dublin soon began. The Teelings often use quite unusual barrels for maturation, the whiskey presented here, distilled November 2003, was aged in a white wine barrel no. 17159 and bottled at barrel strength (56.9% abv) for the Swiss market in March 2018.
