Product description
In 1824, Sir Alexander Ramsay built and registered the Fettercairn Distillery, making it the second officially licensed distillery in Scotland after the Glenlivet Distillery.
The plant, equipped with two pairs of stills, can distill 2.2 million liters of alcohol per year and currently uses its potential in about 75%. Since 1973, Fettercairn has been owned by Whyte & Mackay (its assets were taken over by Emperador Inc. in 2014) and the vast majority of production is used to blend its portfolio. In 2018, the company began building a new commercial offer including whiskies aged from 12 to 50 years. The Fettercairn 23 years old presented here was aged in American oak barrels, and the edition is intended for distribution in the Travel Retail network.
