Product description
Springbank Distillery began operations in 1828 and remains owned by the founding family to this day.
Its buildings are located in the centre of Campbeltown, a town and the smallest Scotch whisky producing region on the Kintyre Peninsula. Between 1880 and 1920, there were 34 distilleries operating there, with only two surviving into the 21st century (the third, Glengyle, reopened in 2004 after a nearly 80-year hiatus). Springbank single malt has always been a centre of interest for whisky collectors, and this edition is definitely one for them – distilled in 1963 and bottled around the mid-1980s at 46% abv.
