Product description
Glenfarclas Distillery was built in 1836 on Rechlerich Farm, close to the small town of Ballindalloch, and since 1865 has been owned by the Grant family. It is one of the last independent distilleries in Scotland with legendary status.
The Grants had more than one offer from potential buyers in recent years but they were all politely declined. Sales of Glenfarclas has been steadily increasing in the last several years, in 2019 they crossed 2.3 million bottles mark, what made the brand the twelfth most sold single malt whisky in the world. Glenfarclas 2009 was aged in ex-sherry casks and bottled at 43% abv as part of The Family Malt Collection in 2018.
