Product description
The Transcontinental Rum Line (TCRL for short) is a line of rums bottled by a French distributor specializing mainly in whisky, but also offering other spirits, including rum.
La Maison du Whisky, because that's what we're talking about, offers short, limited editions of rums from Caribbean rum factories. These are often editions from a single barrel. Their common feature is the fact that they are matured twice - first in the tropical conditions of the place of production, after which the rum is brought to Europe for the final stage of maturation. Transcontinental Rum Line debuted in 2016.
Transcontinental Rum Line 2016 Jamaica is a rum produced at the Worthy Park Distillery in Jamaica. It is a molasses rum, distilled in a traditional pot still. It was first matured in the tropical climate of Jamaica in an American bourbon oak barrel for 4 years, then moved to Europe for another year. Bottled in 2021 in a limited edition.
