Product description
Talisker Distillery is named after a small farm near the village of Carbost on the Isle of Skye.
It began in 1830 and for almost 100 years (until 1928) used the triple distillation method typical of the Lowlands distilleries. It is currently owned by Diageo and produces 2.7 million liters of distillate per year. The brand's annual sales (2020) are 3.3 million bottles, which places it at the end of the top ten most popular single malts. The Talisker presented here is a drink from another era. The whisky distilled on May 28, 1955, spent almost four decades in casks # 1310 + 1311 + 1257, and was bottled by Gordon MacPhail at cask strength (53.6% abv) in October 1993.
