Product description
August 17th is the creation of Belgian Thierry Van Rentrghem, founder of Wave Distill in 2010.
His life passions are whisky and history, and his first success in the field of alcoholic beverages was Cosmik Citron vodka, which allowed him to develop whisky production. The single malt August 17th is distilled in copper stills in a small distillery based in the Cognac region from locally grown barley, malted using traditional methods. The name of the whisky refers to Emperor Augustus, whose image adorns the label (his sketch was made by Thierry during a visit to the Louvre). The August 17th Titus Edition presented here is a whisky aged for 10 years in old cognac and port barrels and bottled at 62% abv in 2021. The edition consisted of 550 bottles.

Palate : caramel, honey, toffee, multi-berry jam, red apples, black tea, cinnamon, nutmeg, white pepper and oak.
