Product description
The Transcontinental Rum Line (TCRL for short) is a line of rums bottled by a French distributor specializing mainly in whisky, but also offering other spirits, including rum.
La Maison du Whisky, because that's what we're talking about, offers short, limited editions of rums from Caribbean rum factories. These are often editions from a single barrel. Their common feature is the fact that they are matured twice - first in the tropical conditions of the place of production, after which the rum is brought to Europe for the final stage of maturation. Transcontinental Rum Line debuted in 2016.
Transcontinental Rum Line 2014 Guadeloupe is a rum from the Bonne Mère distillery in Guadeloupe. It is a traditional, molasses-based, column still rum. It matured for 4 years, entirely in a European climate, in American bourbon oak barrels. Bottled in 2017 in a limited edition of 4,348 bottles.
