Product description
The “French Collection” is a Tomatin Distillery series released in early summer 2021, consisting of four whiskies finished in barrels from France: Monbazillac, Sauternes, Rivesaltes and Cognac.
The third edition presented here (6,000 bottles) is a whisky distilled on September 19, 2008, aged in refill barrels, and then transferred to Rivesaltes barrels in July 2017 for just under three years. Rivesaltes is a lightly fortified wine from southern France made from Grenache Blanc, Macebo, and Muscat. Tomatin, once Scotland's largest malt distillery, can produce 5 million liters of distillate per year after reducing the number of stills from 23 to 12. In 2020, sales of the brand exceeded 750,000 bottles.
