Product description
Benrinnes Distillery was founded in 1826 by Peter McKenzie.
The plant is located in Speyside, in the immediate vicinity of the Aberlour and GlenAllachie distilleries, and currently belongs to the Diageo group. Benrinnes is equipped with 6 stills, which work in an unusual configuration - two so-called wash stills carry out the first distillation and feed four so-called spirit stills responsible for the second distillation. Until recently, the stills worked in a traditional 3-3 combination, and some of the spirit was distilled three times. The Benrinnes presented here, distilled on September 18, 2008, spent over 13 years in two bourbon barrels (no. 800308 and 800309), and was bottled on February 7, 2022 at 43% alcohol in the popular Signatory Vintage Collection series.
