Product description
Amrut, the first Indian single malt, debuted in the UK in 2004 and only six years later in its native India.
It quickly gained recognition among whisky lovers and achieved a lot of success in international competitions and exhibitions. The Kadhambam (which means “mixture” in the Tamil dialect) presented here is a unique whisky. Its formula lists 90% standard Amrut distillate and 10% Amruta Peated. After blending, the spirit is aged in Oloroso butt refill sherry casks and finished initially in Bangalore Blue Brandy casks and then in rum casks (both brandy and rum are products of Amrut Distilleries Ltd). Kadhambam was introduced in 2010 and has experienced periodic limited editions.
