Product description
In 2006, Bruichladdich Distillery celebrated its 125th anniversary.
The plant was built in 1881 by the Harvey brothers, using a building material that was innovative at the time, concrete. In the 20th century, Bruichladdich often changed owners and experienced production breaks, only the new century and the takeover by Murray McDavid brought a period of glory. Undoubtedly, this success is largely due to the master distiller, the charismatic Jim McEwan. The whisky presented here, distilled in 1970, was aged in bourbon barrels and finished in barrels from the legendary Domaine Zind Humbrecht Pinot Gris. The whisky was bottled at 40.1% abv, and the edition consisted of 2,502 bottles. Since 2012, Bruichladdich Distillery has belonged to the French concern Rémy Cointreau.
