Ratu Signature Blend is manufactured on Fiji by the Rum Co. of Fiji.
The spirits are produced at the only rum distillery on Fiji, commonly known as the South Pacific Distillery. It is located in the town of Lautoka on the island of Fiji, and it started distilling in 1980.
Ratu Signature Blend is a rum manufactured from molasses, distilled in a column still and matured for at least 8 years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. The final stage of maturation includes infusion with mocha oak chips and filtration through coconut shell carbon. Technically, it is a rum liqueur for the low alcohol content, and cannot be called rum.
Nose: Orange zest, dark chocolate, coffee.
Palate: Smooth, with notes of coconuts, fresh citrus fruit, spices and oak.
Finish: Long, oaky and spicy.
