Product description
Redbreast is a fine single pot still Irish whiskey introduced in the 1930s by W. & A. Gilbey.
Its unusual name is most likely the idea of the company's president, a passionate ornithologist. The whisky was supplied by Jameson Bow Street Distillery based in Dublin, and distribution was handled by the aforementioned W. & A. Gilbey. In 1986, the brand became the property of the Irish Distillers group, and is currently in the Pernod Ricard portfolio. The limited edition of Redbreast 12 presented here was created with the participation of the Birdlife International society. The bottle rests in a container that can be filled with bird food and hung in the garden. For every bottle sold, 3 euros goes to the account of the aforementioned organization. In addition, "Robin Day" was celebrated for the first time on November 12.
