Product description
Balblair Distillery is one of a handful of Scottish distilleries with a history spanning four centuries.
It began production in 1790, meaning it has witnessed the reigns of nine British monarchs (from George III to Elizabeth II). Since 1996, the plant has been owned by Inver House Distillers, which is now owned by Thai conglomerate International Beverage. Balblair is equipped with a single pair of stills and can produce around 1.8 million litres of distillate per year. The whisky presented here is a nod to history, distilled in 1988, when Balblair became the property of Allied Distillers, and spent more than three decades in bourbon cask no. 2249. Bottled at cask strength 54.4% abv exclusively for Parisian La Maison du Whisky in 2021 in an edition of 102 bottles.
