Product description
George Dickel is the second most popular Tennessee whiskey, although its annual sales are only 10% of Jack Daniel's.
In early 2018, Diageo, owner of the George Dickel Distillery in Tullahoma, Tennessee, changed its name to Cascade Hollow Distilling Company. In essence, it was a return to the original name; in 1884, Dickel and his brother-in-law, Victor Schwab, bought shares in Cascade Hollow Distillery. Dickel Tennessee whiskey is distilled from a mash of 84% corn, 8% rye, and 8% barley malt. The distillery resumed production in 2003 after a several-year hiatus, and judging by recent releases, it seems to have a stockpile of aged whiskey—the latest releases are 11, 13, and the 15-year-old single barrel presented here.
