Product description
Back in the 1980s Bruichladdich Distillery did not enjoy even the fraction of recognition it enjoys today.
It was owned by Invergordon Distillers and literarily struggled for survival. The locals admired Bruichladdich malt but blending companies rejected it. The company tried different approaches to make their whisky more appealing, ceramic decanters was one of them. The beautiful cobalt blue one presented here was produced in the 1980s, part of the series of three. It contains 10 years old whisky.
Nose: floral, heather, seaweed, sea breeze, lemon grass and green apples.
Palate: firm and dry, slightly mineral, malty, grassy, orchard fruits, vanilla, oak shavings and hints of peat.
Finish: medium long, fruity with traces of seaweed and sea salt.
