Product description
Braeval is a young, modern distillery based in the Glenlivet district.
It was built in 1973 by Chivas Bros., then part of the Seagram group. The distillery's original name was Braes of Glenlivet, and it has been using its current name since 1994. The plant is fully computerized and equipped with 6 stills, producing 4 million liters of distillate per year. Almost all of it goes into Chivas blends, and so far we have not seen an official single malt version. The Braeval 21 year old presented here is a whisky distilled on February 16, 2000 and aged in a refilled sherry butt (no. 6392). Bottled on August 13, 2021 at cask strength (59.2% abv) by Signatory Vintage in the prestigious Cask Strength Collection in an edition of 592 bottles.
