Product description
Sheep Dip Pure Malt debuted in 1974 and was a whisky blended for MJ Dowdeswell, a Gloucestershire farmer and pub owner.
Sheep Dip is also a solution for parasites that feed on sheep, and local farmers reportedly used the whisky receipts in their tax returns. In 2005, the rights to the brand were acquired by Spencerfield Spirits, whose assets were acquired by Ian Macleod Distillers in 2016. The Sheep Dip Islay Blended Malt presented here debuted in 2015 and differs significantly from the original. The original Sheep formula was based on whiskies from the Highlands and Speyside, while "Islay Blended Malt" clearly indicates the origin of the ingredients.
