Product description
Caperdonich Distillery began in 1897 as Glen Grant Nº 2, but the first chapter of its history ended after five years.
It wasn’t until 63 years later that the next distillate came down from the stills, and until 2002 the distillery produced malt whisky for Chivas Bros. blends. In 2010, the defunct distillery was purchased by still manufacturer Forsyth of Rhodes, and the brand is still owned by Pernod Ricard. The Caperdonich presented here, distilled in February 1991, spent almost three decades in hogshead cask no. 17945. Bottled at 48% abv in the Dun Bheagan series by Ian Macleod Distillers in 2019 in an edition of 210 bottles.
