Product description
The Knob Creek brand debuted in 1992. It was a 9-year-old bourbon, part of Jim Beam's Small Batch collection.
The whiskey is named after a farm about 30 minutes south of Bardstown, where future US President Abraham Lincoln spent his childhood. (The original label featured a press clipping from The Knob Creek News dated October 23, 1935.) In 2012, the Knob Creek brand was expanded to include a straight rye whiskey, distilled using a formula of 55% rye, 35% corn, and 10% malted barley. It is bottled without an age statement, but we have learned that the distillates used in its blend are aged from five to nine years. In 2016, this whiskey won a gold medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition.
