Product description
Echlinville Distillery, founded in 2013 by Shane Braniff, is the first distillery in Northern Ireland in 125 years.
Braniff also acquired the rights to the Dunville brand, produced in Belfast from 1808 to 1936 by the Royal Irish Distillery; it debuted in 2016. The original Dunville's was one of the most popular Irish brands in the 19th century, with annual production reaching 2.5 million gallons (over 10 million liters) and winning prestigious awards, including a gold medal at the Paris fair in 1900. The current Dunville's 1808 (debuting 2021) is a blend of grain whiskey, two single malts (one with a smoke and peat profile) and a small amount of single pot still whiskey (the latter from Echlinville Distillery). The components were aged in American oak barrels.
