Product description
Douglas Laing & Co.'s Double Barrel series debuted in 2009. The idea behind the creation was to combine two single malt whisky barrels with opposite profiles, which creates a balance of aromatic and flavor elements.
The first proposal was a marriage of single barrels of Laphroaig and Macallan bottled without chill filtration at 46% alcohol, very well received by consumers. After a few years, Douglas Laing & Co. proposed a version of Speyside & Lowland, also composed of two barrels, this time revealing only the regions, not the names of the distilleries from which they came. From spring 2021, the Double Barrel series hits the market in elegant, angular bottles with a new label.
