Laphroaig 10-year-old Natural Cask Strength, Batch # 007 200th Anniversary /56.3%/ 0.7l

In 2015, Laphroaig Distillery celebrated its bicentenary.

On this occasion, five commemorative editions of whisky were released, the first of which, in January of that year, was the anniversary edition of Natural Cask Strength 10 years old batch # 007. This whisky, blended from distillates aged in American oak barrels, is the favorite version of Laphroaig's devoted fans. For years, Laphroaig has been the best-selling single malt from Islay, finding buyers for over 4 million bottles per year (2019). The distillery belongs to the Beam Suntory concern, the third largest producer of alcoholic beverages in the world.

Nose : powerful peat smoke, iodine, hospital bandages, lapsang souchong tea, nectarines, oranges, grapefruit, vanilla, sea salt, smoked meat, licorice and charred oak.

Palate : peat smoke, peaches, apricots, oranges, salted caramel, vanilla, milk chocolate, white pepper, herbal mix, licorice, notes of tobacco, iodine and oak.

Finish: long, smoky-mineral, with notes of peat smoke, caramel, toffee, licorice, pepper, sea salt and oak.
