Product description
Balblair has been producing whisky since 1790, making it one of the oldest Scottish distilleries remaining in operation.
Since 1996, the distillery has been owned by Inver House Distillers, which initially offered the local single malt in aged versions, and from 2007 only in vintage versions, and this strategy significantly increased the brand's sales. Meanwhile, at the beginning of 2019, the distillery returned to aged editions, and the so-called vintages are to experience limited editions. The new basic offer lists four versions - 12-, 15-, 18- and 25-year-old, all bottled at 46% alcohol. Balblair 25 years old, the oldest edition of the offer, is a whisky aged in American oak barrels, then finished for several years (the company does not specify how many) in sherry casks.
