Product description
Aberlour is a picturesque distillery situated in the heart of Speyside.
Since 1974, it has belonged to Pernod Ricard (acquired along with all assets of Campbell Distillers), making it the first Scottish distillery in the portfolio of the French corporation. In 2019, Aberlour took eighth place in the single malt whisky sales ranking with a result of 3.2 million bottles. The plant produces a distillate with a fruity, slightly nutty character, which is definitely helped by maturation in sherry casks. The Aberlour 17 years old presented here, distilled 2002, is a whisky matured in a first-fill sherry butt cask (no. 4405) and bottled in the cask strength version (58.8% abv) in 2020. The content of the cask translated into 570 bottles.
