Product description
“The Macallan in Lalique Collecton”, one of the most extraordinary whisky series of all time, saw its premiere in 2005.
The collection consists of six super-unique The Macallans presented in equally super-unique Lalique crystal decanters, and showcases the distillery’s six pillars through the combined lens of master whisky makers and glass designers. The Macallan 65 Year was released in 2016 and concludes this extraordinary Scottish-French collaboration that has spanned over a decade. It represents The Macallan’s sixth pillar, the “Peerles Spirit.” The sixth pillar whisky was distilled on November 10, 1950, and rested in two casks, enough to fill 450 decanters after the “angel dividend.” The whisky was created by Marc Larmonaux, Lalique’s creative director, who places his own vision of the sixth pillar at the center of his work. The carafes used in this collection are a work of art in themselves, the period from design to production of the final product takes about two years. (Manufacturer's note.)
