Product description
Tamnavulin Distillery is located on the Livet River and was built in 1966 by Invergordon Distillers Ltd.
The word "Tamnavulin" translates from Gaelic to "mill on the hill". Since 1993, the plant has been part of the Whyte & Mackay group, which in turn was taken over in 2014 by the Filipino Emperador Inc. Tamnavulin did not distill between 1995 and 2007, and is currently operating at full steam, producing 4 million liters of distillate per year. Here we present the historic edition of Tamnavulin, The Old Mill. The whisky distilled in May 1967 (in the first months of operation) was aged in hogshead barrels no. 1456-1459 for almost two decades. In August 1986, their content translated into 1,200 bottles of whisky with an alcohol content of 43%.
