Product description
Kornog is one of two single malts produced by the Glann-ar-Mor Distillery in Brittany. (Glann-ar-Mor means "place on the seashore" in the local language.)
The distillery was established in 1999 on the initiative of Jean Donnay, and regular whisky production began in 2005. The first, "unpeated" single malt hit the market in 2008 as Glann-ar-Mor, the "peated" version, Kornog (Breton for "West Wind") debuted in November 2009. Kornog is distilled from malt imported from Scotland with a phenol concentration of 35 ppm and aged in bourbon barrels. Glann-ar-Mor is equipped with two small stills, and its annual production is about 50 thousand bottles of whisky.
