Product description
It is a common knowledge that Bushmills single malt 10 years old was introduced in the summer of 1984 and in the 21st Century remains one of the most popular Irish whiskey brands.
The whisky was aged primarily in ex-bourbon barrels with a little addition of ex-sherry casks. Surprisingly while visiting the distillery the old bottle of Old Bushmills malt catches visitor’s eye, the 10 years old expression, which scored gold medal at the 1889 Paris Exhibition, when the Eiffel Tower was revealed to the world. How does the 19th Century expression taste is a mystery but we’ve heard that sample was withdrawn with the long needle and then analyzed and apparently today’s Bushmills 10 years old is almost identical to its great great-grandfather.
