Product description
Rock Island Blended Malt debuted in late autumn 2018 in Douglas Laing & Co.’s Remarkable Regional Malts series, replacing the previous representative of the Scottish islands, Rock Oyster.
(Marketers thought that using the word “oyster” in the whisky’s name might put off a certain group of consumers.) Rock Island is a blend of single malts from Islay, Arran, Jura and Orkney. The other regions are Timorous Beastie (Highlands), Scallywag (Speyside), Big Peat (Islay), The Epicurean (Lowlands) and The Gauldrons (Campbeltown). Rock Island Small Batch, the basic version of this whisky, is bottled with its natural colour and without chill filtration.
