Product description
Craigduff is an extremely rare whisky, long shrouded in mystery and causing much speculation.
It wasn’t until 2005 that Hugh Thompson, retired manager of Glen Keith and Strathisla distilleries, put an end to them. The whisky was distilled by Strathisla Distillery from malt with a high phenolic content, supplied by its sister distillery Glendronach. (These distilleries were then owned by Seagram.) Craigduff 45 years old is a proposal from Signatory, released to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary. The whisky, distilled on 4 April 1973, spent 45 years in a sherry butt no. 2518, which on 13 June 2018 resulted in 575 casks of cask strength (45.4% abv) of whisky. The set includes two Glencairn glasses with the Signatory Vintage logo.
