Product description
Malteco rum is the result of the efforts of Italian rum enthusiast Marco Savio, the same one to whom we owe the Panamanian rum Malecon.
Malteco was created in Guatemala, in the Licoreria Quetzalteca distillery, which was taken over by Diageo in 2011, and production was limited there to the group's two flagship brands, Botran and Zacapa, which forced a change not only of producer but also of country. Malteco, like Melcon, is now made in Panama, in the Caribbean Spirits Panama distillery.
Malteco 1986 Selection is a vintage rum, still from an old source, from the Licoreria Quetzalteca distillery in Guatemala. It matured for 30 years in oak barrels from American bourbon and was bottled in 2016 in a limited edition of individually numbered bottles. Offered in a decorative box.
