Product description
Glen Mhor Distillery operated in Inverness from 1892 to 1983. Its buildings stood next to the Caledonian Canal, opposite the Glen Albyn distillery.
In 1972, the plant became part of DCL, but 9 years later the group decided to close it. The buildings were soon demolished and a supermarket and car park were built in their place. The Glen Mhor 1969 presented here is a proposal of Campbell & Clark Ltd. from the 1990s. The company was established in 1934 as a subsidiary of Train & McIntyre Ltd, owners of several distilleries, including Glenury Royal, Glenlochy and Benromach. In 1960, George Christie (Speyside Distillery Co.) became its owner and bottled whisky under his brand. In 2010, Campbell & Clark Ltd. officially ceased operations. The whisky presented here comes from three barrels (no. 1407-1409) filled in 1969. The edition consisted of 2265 bottles.
