Product description
Opihr Spiced Gin was launched by Quintessential Brands in October 2013 and soon became no. 7 premium gin brand in he world.
The brand is named after a legendary region famed for its wealth and riches, which prospered during the reign of King Solomon. The king regularly received cargoes of gold, silver and spices from Opihr and whilst its exact location remains a mystery, it is thought to have been in the Orient along the Ancient Spice Route, a network of sea routes that link the East with the West. The gin formula was created by master distiller Joanne Moore and is distilled at G&J Distillery under her watchful eye. The botanicals have been sourced from locations at Maritime Spice Route and include black pepper, cardamom and ginger from India, cubeb from Malaysia, cumin from Turkey, coriander seeds from Morocco, bitter oranges from Spain, juniper berries from Italy, angelica root from Germany and grapefruits from undisclosed origins. The bottle comes with a branded glass.
Opihr Spice Gin is a true spice bomb – pepper, cardamom, ginger, coriander, orange and grapefruit zest with notes of juniper in the background. The spices are so intense on the nose and the palate that they can overtake cocktails. We strongly recommend trying it neat or with an ice cube.
