Product description
Bowmore Distillery has been producing whisky since 1779 and is the oldest of eight distilleries currently operating on the island.
It bears the name of the administrative capital of the island of Islay, inhabited by almost a thousand people. The word bowmore comes from the Gaelic bogh mòr and means "great reef". The 10-year-old version was in the basic offer until the end of the 90s. The occasional edition presented here commemorates the Glasgow Garden Festival, a garden festival that took place in this city from 26 April to 26 September 1988. The festival was organized on an area of 0.49 km2 and during 152 days attracted over 4.3 million participants.
