Product description
Fred Laing's XOP series debuted in 2014, a dozen or so months after the division of Douglas Laing & Co.'s assets between the two Laing brothers. XOP stands for Xtra Old Particular and refers to the best single malt and single grain casks from the family's stockpiles. Speyside is a small distillery capable of producing 600,000 litres of distillate per year, owned by the private company Harvey's of Edinburgh. The main market for the local single malt is Asia, and it is practically absent from private publishers' offers. Speyside 21 years old distilled in May 1998 was matured in a refilled butt cask (DL 13295). In May 2019, it was included in the XOP series with an edition of 256 bottles.
