Product description
John Glaser, founder and director of Compass Box Whisky Co., is one of the most creative whiskey producers.
Over the course of 20 years of operation, the company has released dozens of unique editions and is constantly experimenting with new formulas. The Stranger & Stranger presented here was released in September 2018 and bears the name of the company that has been responsible for presenting the Compass Box edition for 10 years. This drink does not classify as a whisky (one of its components was aged for less than 3 years) and is described by the creator as "Scotch malt whisky blended with wheat and barley spirit". Its formula consists of 80% Glenlossie aged in re-charred hogshead casks, 14% Glen Elgin aged in re-charred bourbon casks, 5% Linkwood aged in sherry butt casks and 1% Girvan grain distillate aged for a year in an experimental American oak cask. The edition consisted of 4,802 bottles.
