Product description
Warner’s Distillery is arguably the greatest success story of British craft distilling.
It was founded by Tom Warner and Sion Edwards in 2012 and originally operated as Warner Edwards Distillery. The partners split in 2016 and a couple of years later the distillery was renamed Warner’s. The first company product, Warner Edwards Harrington Dry Gin, was launched in the late 2012 and earned excellent reviews. The Elderflower Gin followed in 2013 inspired by Tom Warner’s mother Adèle, a keen gardener. Its formula includes 11 botanicals: elderflower harvested once a year from local hedgerows, juniper berries, coriander seeds, cardamom, black pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, angelica root, lemon peel, orange peel, plus a secret ingredient… The gin scored several prestigious awards including Silver at the 2016 San Francisco International Spirits Competition and Bronze at the same event two years later.
“Lovely soft floral elderflower with hints of lychees and some more subtle juniper. A lemony zing mixes wonderfully with elderflower giving a beautiful smooth mouthfeel like icing sugar with delicate spice and little vanilla. The juniper fades out living cardamom and cinnamon with elderflower to give a long finish with a bouquet of floral and spicy finish lingering softly”. We recommend serving it with Mediterranean tonic, garnished with slice of lemon and a spring of fresh mint.
