Product description
Maison Hardy is named after the Scottish gentleman involved in the wine and high-end spirits trade, Anthony Hardy.
Hardy fell for the charms of the Charente department quite early on, and in particular the brandies produced there, of which he most valued those from the Cognac region. He consistently visited the local producers every year, finally moving to France permanently in 1863 and establishing Maison Hardy. Today, the company remains in the hands of the fifth generation of the founding family and is managed by Bénédicte Hardy. Hardy cognac secured a place in the "Guinness Book of Records", in September 2011 a bottle of Hardy Croizet Cognac Leonie 1858 found a buyer at an auction in Shanghai for the equivalent of $156,760.00. The Hardy Noces de Perle presented here is a blend of ten eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne growing region and aged for 30, 50 and 60 years. The cognac fills an Art Deco crystal decanter designed by the Cristalleries des Vosges studio.
"This aged cognac spreads aromas of sultanas and a dry bouquet of wildflowers. In the mouth, a full range of flavors, from delicate pepper notes to the heavenly sweetness of vanilla."
