Product description
Black Bottle blended whisky debuted in 1879, blended by a company owned by the three Graham brothers (Gordon, David and Charles), tea merchants who expanded their trade offering to include whisky.
Originally, the whisky was presented in black bottles imported from Germany. With the outbreak of World War I, the company abandoned the German supplier and opted for dark green bottles. Since 2003, Black Bottle has belonged to Burn Stewart Distillers, currently a subsidiary of Distell Group, and remains strongly associated with the island of Islay. The 10-year-old version debuted in 1998 and remained on the market for several years. Its return in early 2020 will probably draw consumers' attention to this interesting island blend.
