Gin Buss Nº 509 is the creation of Serge Buss, founder and owner of Bar Bounce, the first “Gin & Tonic” bar in Belgium.

Serge comes from a family with rich culinary traditions, his grandfather was a chef to the Belgian royal family and his father owned a popular restaurant chain; he himself opened his first restaurant when he was just 20. The Buss Nº 509 brand debuted in 2013 with the Raspberry Gin version, the first in the "Author Collection" series, which was soon joined by the Pink Grapefruit, Belgian Apple, Elderflower and Persian Peach gins. In the formula of the Elderflower edition presented here, in addition to the basic botanical ingredients (juniper berries, coriander, licorice, angelica and orris roots, cardamom, vanilla, oranges and lemons), there are elderflowers and forest berries. The details of the production of Buss Nº 509 gins remain a closely guarded secret of the creator, we only know that he uses only natural ingredients without adding any colouring, flavouring or preservatives.

Buss Nº 509 Elderflower Gin combines aromas of elderberry, spring meadow, juniper and citrus with a hint of coriander and licorice. In taste, forest berries, citrus, a trace of pine needles, cardamom and notes of elderberry liqueur. We recommend serving with a cube of ludu or with a delicate tonic with a few slices of apple and a stick of cinnamon.
