Product description
Glen Grant Nº 2 Distillery began operation in 1897 and closed after just five years.
In 1965, after a comprehensive modernisation, it resumed distilling as Caperdonich (Gaelic for ‘Secret Well’), and was taken over by Seagram 10 years later. Almost all of its production went into blends, mainly Chivas Regal, Queen Anne, 100 Pipers and Something Special. Pernod Ricard took over Seagram’s Scottish assets in 2001 and soon decided to close the distillery. The Caperdonich 21 year old presented here is a limited edition from 2019 marked as Batch CA 001. The whisky comes from first-fill bourbon casks. This is undoubtedly one of the last official releases from this distillery.
