Product description
Bushmills Distillery is based in the village of its name (population 1,400) in the north of County Antrim in Northern Ireland.
Since the end of 2014, the distillery has belonged to the Mexican company Casa Cuervo SA de CV, the producer of the world's most popular tequila José Cuervo. Annual sales of the Bushmills brand reach 10 million bottles, which makes it the third most popular Irish whiskey after Jameson and Tullamore Dew. The distillery uses a triple distillation process, and the vast majority of distillates are aged in bourbon barrels. The Distiller's Reserve Single Cask edition presented here is a whiskey aged in a sherry barrel no. 7424 and bottled in cask strength (57.3% abv) in 2002. We don't know why the producer doesn't mention the year of distillation.

Finish: long, with notes of dried fruit, cocoa powder, white pepper and a pleasant oak bitterness.
