Product description
Springbank Distillery was established in 1828 on a site previously occupied by illegal distilling operations and remains Scotland's most unique whisky producer to this day.
It has belonged to the Mitchell family since 1837 and in the 21st century is the only distillery that carries out the entire production cycle on one property.
On the occasion of the new millennium, the company has prepared an unprecedented edition of six whiskies – 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years old. They hit the market from September 1998 to March 2001 in the following batches: 25 and 30 years old, 2,500 bottles each; 35 years old, 1,500 bottles each; 40, 45 and 50 years old, 580 bottles each. We present here the youngest whisky in the list, aged for 25 years. (Producer's tasting note.)
Springbank 25 years old – aromas of ripe cherries, raisins, dark chocolate and behind them a delicate trace of early vegetables; in the mouth classic Springbank – ripe fruit, a light spicy note, walnuts, traces of smoke, tobacco and salt; long and dry finish, slightly peaty.
