Product description
Bunnahabhain Toiteach (Gaelic for "Smoke") debuted in 2008 to excellent reviews.
Distilled from malt with a phenol concentration of 38 ppm, this whisky showed the “smoky and peaty” side of Bunnahabhain and immediately became a core offering. It was matured almost exclusively in ex-bourbon casks, with a minimal addition of sherry casks. On the tenth anniversary of its debut, the distillery introduced the Toiteach a Dhà, or Toiteach No. 2. Compared to the original, Kirstie McCallum, the blending master of Bunnahabhain’s Burn Stewart, used more sherry casks.
